Let's create some colourful and playful butterflies and be inspired by the famous living artist, Damien Hirst.
This project is inspired by Damien Hirst, a British artist, entrepreneur, and art collector. Hirst’s work has generated enormous controversy for its subject matter. He is the winner of the 1995 Turner Prize and, as of 2009, the wealthiest artist in history.
With this kit, students will create their own stencil to draw their butterflies, and use oil pastels, watercolours and chalk pastels to make their masterpiece.
Inside this kit, you will find enough supplies to do two paintings:
- 2 sheets 22.9 x30.5 cm (9x12 in) Watercolour Paper (this paper is slightly smaller than the paper used in our regular classes in order to facilitate safe delivery)
- 4 Soft pastels - light yellow, yellow-orange, white and magenta
- 1 Oil pastel - fuchsia
- Watercolour blue
- Watercolour yellow
