Create a beautiful arrangement of Hydrangeas in the style of famous artist, Vincent Van Gogh.
Most students will be familiar with some of Van Gogh’s more famous works like Starry Night and Sunflowers, but let’s take a look at some of Van Gogh’s other inspiring still life’s and his unique painterly style to create our own amazing still life.
To create this multimedia project, students will follow the step-by-step drawing, use soft pastels for blending, try out a fun scraping technique to make a unique pattern in the vase, and experiment using sponges for applying paint.
Inside this kit, you will find enough supplies to do two paintings:
- 2 sheets 22.9 x30.5 cm (9x12 in) Watercolour Paper (This paper is slightly smaller than the paper used in our regular classes in order to facilitate safe delivery).
- Circle template
- 2 Soft pastels - grey, grey-green
- White Oil pastel
- 4 uniquely mixed colours of acrylic paint: bright blue, turquoise blue, dark lilac, white-lilac
- Small square sponge
- Wooden skewer for scraping
