Summer is coming and we couldn't be more excited about all the fun things to do. Let's paint a story around each summer scene. Using the sights and sounds of summer nights and days - student's can join us to sit beside a roaring fire, imagine sailboats sailing by & feeling the summer breeze, that wonderful awe-inspiring moment when you catch a glimpse of fireflies glowing & dancing in the twilight of a summer's night, and nothing says the end to a perfect summer's day like delicious ice cream!
Join us for the next 4-week session as we get ready for the summer ahead! Please note, for this session, classes will be held on Mondays @ 4 and Thursdays @ 4:30 only and for Thursday, July 1, CANADA DAY - a make-up class will be held on Wednesday, June 30.
- Week One - A bonfire crackles and lights up the night as students learn new techniques for realism.
- Week Two - Let's feel the wind in our hair as we create our own sailboat inspired by Canadian artist, Christopher Pratt.
- Week Three -Fireflies at Night on Canoe Lake will be inspired by American illustrator, Pascal Campion.
- Week Four - Learn how to create your own delicious Ice Cream Sundae inspired by Wayne Thiebaud.
The supply kit delivered to you is for an INDIVIDUAL student to participate.
Each lesson includes a live class with a teacher on the day that you have selected from the drop-down box *select your class day.*
Please choose either Monday @ 4 or Thursday @ 4:30. Note that the Thursday class will not be held on Thursday, July 1st but on Wednesday, June 30th @ 4:30. If classes are missed, we can send you a recording.
These painting classes are geared for students 6 years and up. Some assistance may be necessary for younger students depending on each child. Each project will take approximately one hour to complete.
Inside this kit you will find the following supplies :
- 6 pieces of watercolour paper (9 x 12 in)
- watercolours
- chalk pastels
- specially mixed acrylic paint colours
- oil pastels
Please note brushes are not included. Inside the kit, you will find all the art materials you need to create. You will need brushes, masking tape, paper towels, a pallet and a container of water and you'll be good to go! If you don't have supplies you can purchase brushes here or our starter kit has everything you need.
