At Art in Action, we think art is a way of creating magic. Teens and tweens can join us to conjure up their own dragon, see the magic of spring growth, create a storm and spend a lovely day at a beach casting their own art spells.
Join us for the next 4-week session as we create magic, and experiment with many new art ideas and techniques. Tuesday's at 4:30, May 11, 18, 25 and June 1
- Week One - The Magic Dragon will be inspired by Cressida Cowell, author and illustrator and creator of the How To Train Your Dragon series.
- Week Two - Learn how to conjure up your own resilient tulips. We will be inspired by British artist, Shirley Trevena.
- Week Three - A lightning storm is brewing on the horizon and we will create our own powerful thunderstorm road scape with its own lightning show, inspired by Walter De Maria
- Week Four - Students will create their own magical day at a beach and fill it with cheerful colours and imagine lifting through the air like the kiteboarder in the distance. . British landscape artist Rex Preston will inspire the piece.
The supply kit delivered to you is for an INDIVIDUAL student to participate.
These painting classes are geared for students 10 years old and up. Each project will take approximately one hour to complete. Each lesson includes a live class with a teacher, but if you miss a class you can request a recording!
Inside this kit you will find the following supplies :
- 6 pieces of watercolour paper (9 x 12 in)
- watercolours
- chalk pastels
- specially mixed acrylic paint colours
- oil pastels
Please note brushes are not included. Inside the kit, you will find all the art materials you need to create. You will need brushes, masking tape, paper towels, a pallet and a container of water and you'll be good to go! If you don't have supplies you can purchase brushes here or our starter kit has everything you need.
