Create a picturesque Autumn landscape inspired by one of Canada’s most famous artists, Tom Thomson.  After his first trip to Algonquin Park in 1912, Thomson fell in love with the beauty and nature and would disappear for days into the wilderness while working on a painting.

With this kit, students will use a variety of specially mixed paint colours in hues of orange, red and yellow as well as a variety of art materials to create an iconic Tom Tomson piece.

Each lesson includes a live class with the teacher that you have selected from the drop-down box *select your class day* (Please choose one of the dates).

Students will be able to watch and follow along with a teacher, ask questions and interact

This painting is geared for students 6 years and up.  Some assistance may be necessary for younger students depending on each child.  This project will take approximately one hour to complete.

Inside this kit you will find the following supplies:

  • 2 pieces of watercolour paper, 9x12
  • one turquoise blue chalk pastel
  • one Prussian blue oil paste
  • 7 colours of acrylic paint: rust, orange, Prussian blue, brown, silver, yellow and white
  • scraping tool

Inside the kit, you will find all the supplies you need to create. All you will need are brushes, masking tape, paper towels, a pallet and a container of water.  You'll be good to go!  If you don't have supplies you can purchase brushes here or our starter kit has everything you need.

Hope to see you soon...
